All said and done, whether you love it or hate it there is only one Campervan, built by one manufacturer in house and that is the VW Multivan California . All the others are 3rd Party Conversions, even the Marco Polo and Nugget are 3rd Party conversions with all the problems of dealing with 2 companies.
Time will tell what the future will hold.

Think it would come down to price difference for me, I keep hearing the VW is a lot more (haven’t looked at prices) but someone said it’s way more for VW not worth it for square cup holders imo (very bizarre that).

On a youtube video I watched they said if you configure the vans with exactly the same spec, the VW is actually cheaper and has a longer (5 year) warranty.
