Okay, then it makes sense. They just replaced the front fuel heater with a usual electric one like on any EV. And the rear one stayed the same I guess, this is good. Btw, do you also have this sticker about the heater on the left side of the chassis on the back when the tailgate is open - mine says something like 3.5kw diesel heater, made in Poland etc.Its confusing. I'll try to clarify: There are 3 heat sources in my t7 phev:
1. Fuel powered auxiliary heater, that is located somewhere rear below the car and blows the hot air behind the left sliding door. It has two modes of operation (temporary / continuous), can be run only when stationary and can't be started remotely. Only from the vehicle, or via BT from the "California" App. This one is the 7VB/7VC option, but came standard in my t7 beach in Spain.
2. Some electric heating in the engine area, that heats mainly the front part of the vehicle. Just a normal heating that you use when driving on electric. This can be operated remotely via the "VW" app (different app than the above!) and can be scheduled. Does anyone know if it's heatpump or a resistive element?
And obviously 3: Waste heat from the gasoline powertrain when driving on petrol.
