Patio Gas Or. Propane Gas ??

Good, Gases cannot be mixed in refillable containers without the vessel being flushed and pressure tested prior to refilling, this would make it prohibitively expensive for domestic use.
Mixed gases for domestic use are sold in disposable small volume containers.
If you want mixed gas then look at a cadac dual Pak. Mixed gases separate when stood hence "shaking"
Yes good idea , Primus Iso Butane Power RED Disposable Gas can be used with Cadac Dual Pak , regular an hose just found out

That primus TUPIKE double burner stove is out this world awesome
Must get one.
All excited now. Not seen stove so good an versatile in long time !!!!

Add to my collection
Unleaded stoves single an double
Cadac 2 cook 2 pro
And primus 2 x single sportster stoves
Oh an triangia

Do Not buy SUNN GAS for winter absolutely terrible
If you want to use different gas bottles with the Primus Tupike then you need to buy the different adapters. EN417 cannisters fit as standard.

I prefer to cart around a second Campingaz 907 as it serves ad a reserve for the fixed bottle ad well ad running my outside Cadac.
So the question of which gas to use doesn’t arise.
I’ve not even looked at the regulator on the Cali, all I know is I’ve got to get a 907 campinggaz bottle. Bit of a pain as I’ve a small redundant calor gas bottle but that can’t be swapped.
Anyway, point of post…. Cadac - does the Cali regulator have the same size fitting as the Cadac?
I currently use the small 500g canisters IE can I whip out the 907 and use that on the Cadac?
TIA

All types of camping gas use a 37mbar regulator, it is the gas fittings that are different for each proprietors bottles. I would fit a quick release fitting to the van and then have tails with regulator(s) to bottles, so a cadac dual pak could replace the 907 quickly and safely.

Sorry, "Regulator" was the wrong word - I did indeed mean the fitting that goes on the gas bottle(s) themselves.

I have the Cadac Carri Chef 40. I had planned to buy the Cadac 343 hose and (29mbar) regulator to use with my current 500g gas cartridges.
However, it seems daft taking two lots of different gas out.
I know the Cali takes 907 gas but I don't know what the connection type on these looks like so just wondered if it was possible to use the the 907 gas on the Cadac by buying the right regulator.
Having googled, its clearly completely different.
I'm not sure I want to go down the route of fitting quick release fittings, or even where to start to be honest.

Although I'm now wondering whether to seek help on this.
Looking at the cost of the 907 cartridge - £60.00ish for 2.8kgs of gas, I'm thinking for under £40.00 I can buy 6 x 500g Cartridges (3kgs) so I'd be saving every time and not lugging the weight of gas around.
Its how I get the Cali to run off the Cartridges I'll need help with - unless its a case of just removing the current regulator and using those quick release couplings you showed.

The cadac dual pak has a regulator built in and a shut off valve, so yes it could replace your camping Gaz 907 California regulator, the middle link above is for a 907 bottle mounted regulator with shut off valve. The quick release connectors would make it easier to change between different gas types

I missed the middle link! Sorry...
And I think I'm missing the point on how to connect the two - sorry (again)

OK, so get the Cadac dual pack to run the Cadac, get the quick release connector and then use that from the Cadac adapter to the Cali hose?

I've just found this post
https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/thread...r-to-fit-in-place-of-butane.47297/post-615439

But can't find the one they are referring too.

That said, I think I get it now....

Remove Cali Regulator from hose
Connect a quick connect adapter (first link above) to Cali Hose
Then have a Cadac adapter (bottom link) that quick connects to that with two bottles of gas on, or can also be used with the Cadac.
And also have a Campingaz Regulator & Hose with quick adapter - again being able to use that in the Cali or take out to use on the Cadac.
So can go big or small gas.

Right?

I made up an adaptor from the following 2 parts to allow me to connect a small screw-on en417 cylinder to the Cali regulator for when my main 907 gas bottle runs out. And it did - on the last day in France!

Simply screw the 2 parts above together tightly (not too tight - one has a rubber seal) and attach one end to the small cylinder and the other to the Cali regulator. Works a treat and cost around a tenner!
