Pet travel to eu

Probably not in time for our trip this year but good to know for next time. We now use PassPets in Havant who 'only' charge £99 for an AHC.

Deffo good news.

‘Been checking the news in detail for this and have also checked the government website for any clue on updates

I haven’t seen any other reports of confirmation yet. Hope it is true

I suspect that the road back to common sense will be long, slow and trodden very carefully so as not to upset Daily Mail readers too much.

For me I’m more interested in youth movement so my kids can work all over Europe again, without the hassle/barrier of waiting three months for a blue card.

Well it's upto the EU to change the requirements for entry. Nothing to do with the UK Government who already accept the EU Pet Passport.

What a hassle to have to apply 3 months in advance . A bit like booking your campsite/ferry or holiday in advance. Such a pain.

Not really.
Given the choice between two potential employees, one who needs to apply for a three month visa tied to an employer, and one who has freedom of movement, guess which one they choose?

It’s the cruelest thing by far that old people inflicted on the young in 2016, shackling them down to GB PLC

Well its one way to stop the brain drain.

Absolutely agree, if it works for China and the USSR it’s got to be worth a go. Hee Hee

In fairness those coming here with a visa do so to work, their average earnings are slightly above UK residents in the main. There is no brain drain.

That's life. Sometimes you have to work at it. You don't always get what you want on a silver platter.
And it's the EU that stopped such movement and now they realise the problems and now , with record highs of youth unemployment they want to reintroduce it to get the youth unemployment down by exporting it elsewhere.
They could always apply for a 3yr working visa in Australia/New Zealand but might be a bit too far from the Apron strings.

Anyway that’s all getting very political.

I think my subscription must have changed as I can’t edit delete my rants!!!! Sorry everyone

Take care WG, thanks for all you do.

You’re an intelligent guy, but the idea that you believe that 27 countries are desperate to open up a quota system for young adult free movement in order to offshore their youth unemployment worries me. It belies the rationality you display in every other post you write. “Apron Strings” : strewth

I'm working in Germany on a Blue Card and have done so since Sept 2021. Took some effort but is doable even under the present circumstances. I take my citizenship test next month so I can graduate to Permanent EU Resident status in the near future.
