Indeed.

My concern would be the increase to cat 3 on French tolls (as it’s over 3m) and MPG. One wonders why they didn’t just put a pop top on it? Could have been done on both the 600 and 680 and would give continuity across the range. It’s also something Hymercar has managed to integrate so why not VW?

I think they need to sort there poptop on the Cali before they put it on anything else.
It’s not my cup of tea either as bed in roof is pointless unless your a midget or kid.
Real shame If they made one with the club joker high top roof bed then I would of been interested.
Lower bed isn’t long enough for me unless I went for the big beast.
There sell loads as having a one stop shop, for whole of the van is brilliant. Well I thought so when I had the cali

We’re not midgets or children and we’ve always been comfortable upstairs in the Cali- it’s bigger than the downstairs bed. The bed in the (manual) Hymercar poptop is 200x135 which is bigger still.

Yep Cali roof bed is amazing and downstairs is if you have a topper.

Sorry- misunderstood. I agree that the transverse bed in the 600 looks really cramped and the upstairs as you say is just for kids. We were thinking about the 680 but lost interest due to so many uncertainties. We’ve just bitten the bullet and put a deposit down on an Adria Twin Supreme. Should suit us and the dog for trips but I’m really going to miss the Cali for versatility and daily use. Not looking forward at all to parting with it.

I thought the supreme was far better thought out than the Grand , loads of light, great finish and wash room is in a different category to the half arsed grand one. My only problem is it’s on a fiat.... I have a deal sorted on the Knaus boxdrive but trying to sort out the potential tariff headache.... if I have to pay an additional 10% I’ll be joining you in the Adria camp!

We had a good look at a couple of Adria Twin Supremes and a Hymercar Yosemite before plumping for the Adria. We had a good discount and we are happy that we’ve made the right decision. I’ll be selling our Cali in early April, after a full service, MOT, cam belt and water pump change. Our Twin Supreme is not due until June so we won’t be able to give any feedback until then.
As I’ve said before we’ve had a wonderful six years in our two Calis and we’ve loved every minute.

We went to the new hymer centre just off j14 m6 yesterday and looked at the Hymercar yosemite. What a fantastic vehicle ,so versatile with its pop top roof bed and fold up rear double bed. We love our cali but if we were up sizing then this would definitely be for us, I thought the grand california would have looked similar but we are really disappointed with it and of course the price. The yosemite we viewed was brand new and on offer at just over £55,000 on the road.
