Preventing T6.1 interior lights from switching on?

Is there a way to prevent the interior lights in the camping section from turning on when you open the car?

Ofcourse I know that, but camping mode is automatically cancelled when you start te camper.
I want the interior lights switched off permanently, until I choose to turn them on myself.

Maybe your OP should have said that.

You can’t unless you start to hack your lighting system and put a switch in-line.

I know what you mean, but don't have an answer. Not so much of a problem when it's more often dark currently!! There's a cali Chris video, that may help. If there is an answer, It'll be to do with the switches in the cab by those reading lights:

When I first got my Ocean I thought I wanted the same: but after a while I realised how useful it was to have the rear lights operating normally so when when I lock the van I know that all doors are closed etc.
