Problem with parking sensrs

Hi All

has anyone had or solved the following issue

the parking sensor display no longer displays on the radio
the parking sensor button flashes
and continuous tone emitted

this is the second time this has happened the first time it seemed to clear after a while but this has now been a couple of weeks

any ideas help would be gratefully received

It must be the weather...! There is a thread on the T5 technical section under diagnosis too...

Sounds like a failed/damaged parking sensor which would cause the button to flash and a constant tone.

I've had the same and took it to VW. They said it was a failed rear parking sensor. Needs replacing, will be approx £150!

One of our rear sensors stopped working and we had the constant beep to tell us. We did nothing with it, except park the van in hot sun last Sunday and hey presto it works again - it is lucky that I never want to reverse when it is raining...
