Programmable feature with Carista?

Hi all

I have bought a Carista dongle and App... What can I personalise on my T5.1 Cali then? What's good etc? I know about doors, windows etc., etc. But what's the clever stuff then?

I read that... and those features are cool and I will be changing a few, but I was wondering as it states it's a sample, what else there is I can play with, mirrors on the fob button etc...

Lol, yep, read that too when I bought it...

I just can't find a list online (full list that is). I've not yet plugged it in. I'm going to this weekend, I will write a complete list of all the features that can be 'controlled' and add them here for general reference...

There is not a full list published online, as it differs for each vehicle, depending on the options ordered when the vehicle was built, and the exact age and spec of the vehicle.

You can however get a full list for "your vehicle", and either email it to yourself or upload to cloud storage. It is in a .pdf or text format that you can copy and paste if you want to.

WelshGas - good question... $20 and it's meant to be a one time purchase, I've yet to connect the OBD dongle so have not really done anything to get that far... As soon as I do I'll do some screen grabs of the app and what it does as well as upload my configurable list... as Dav1d suggested above...

Yep, can have them one click, drivers, 2 all, with out tailgate, auto lock on drive and auto unlock as you remove the key etc.... I will play and post the list.

Its just for show but I like the option of having the dashboard needles sweep round the dial and return on starting.
Presumably given the price difference between Carista and VCDS there are still things that Carista cant set? eg if you add new functionality such as MFSW buttons / towbar?

not tried yet, only had a quick look, will try later, however, I suspect i'll need to make an in-app purchase to do that. when I get more time i'll look into other 3rd party apps & see what they have to offer. will let you know.

That was the topic of a recent post, turning the DRL off.
Would it effect the warranty doing these things?

I have Xenon lights so maybe it's different to DRLs that mount in the bumper below the headlight... I don't know...

According to the dealer this is a health and safety issue and cant be done.

I've got auto wipers on my transporter and love them - I really miss them when I'm in the cali. No more fiddling endlessly with the intermittent delay when you get that funny drizzle-not-quite-rain
