Has anybody bought a small pop up tent (or similar) for one night stays?
Looking for something that is waterproof and inexpensive that will hold bits and bobs that I would normally put in the awning if we were staying for a little longer.
Any ideas and options would be welcome.

I have one of these:

Very easy to put up, getting it back into its bag takes practice! Store a bike, chairs, table & various bits boxes in it when camping.
Strong winds can blow it out of shape and heavy rain will pool in the roof and then drip in. Also have a more heavy duty utility tent but this lightweight and quick to erect one gets far more use.

Yes, bought a simple one off amazon (2-man pop-up), and have used it for every one night stay in the last two years (including last night in Ile Grande, Brittany).

Fantastic idea when you have 2+2+dog, doubly so when it rains and you need all the internal space you can get. Slots in perfectly above boxes but below the shelf in the back.

Do you have a link to view?

We have the same model (or near as makes no difference). Takes literally 2 seconds to put up - it springs out into shape as soon as you release it. It's perfect for storing car seats and any other paraphernalia during camping. We use it nearly very time we camp, especially on short stops where we don't bother with the awning.

Putting away takes about 30 seconds once you get the knack. YouTube is your friend here. Without knowing what you are doing you'll either break it or look like a total idiot for all the site to see - or both - as you wrestle with an impossible tent that fights back. :)

Overall, 100% recommended. Oh, and ours was £20.

Have used one of these on our recent trip....still trying to get to grips with the packing away.

But worth a go......there are cheaper direct from olpro.....https://www.olproshop.com/products/olpro-pop-up-utility-tent.
