Can anybody recommend some good sites in Northern / Central Italy?
Quiet, rural and preferably devoid of bar/entertainment noise pollution please!

Sorry but I don't know sites. If you can go to Lucca. I think this is a fabulous place. An amazing walled town, with immense fortifications.
