Hi, not posted for a long time, having been a regular.
2015 SE 180, 47,000 miles.
Got coil light flashing, and loss of power on a motorway drive. code P0234, raised wastegate pressure.
Could be broken wastegate. Stuck solenoid or a faulty sensor according to Google.
Turned engine off, then on, and light did not come back on, despite a good hard hilly run. Full power, no problem.
So could be hard to diagnose if all well at the moment.
My question is , could it just be a one off. I’m a bit reluctant to go away if it’s likely to recur.
I know when I’ve had the common wheel sensor failure ( twice, different wheels) that it started off very intermittent, then became permenant after a few weeks. But that’s a hall sensor, not a pressure sensor.
Any ideas, advice, experience.
Thanks
