So I’ve been struggling for a while wondering why my current bus handles worse than the previous incumbent.

Long story short, turns out there is no rear ARB fitted.

This is fairly normal as OEMs don’t want a vehicle doing anything to sporty, they like to keep things predictable (understeery).

So my question, can anyone/everyone get under their vans and a) see if they have one fitted and b) measure the diameter.

I discovered another handling faux-pas but that’s another thread.

Can I suggest, while you are all under your vans, to check your spare wheel pressure too. You could also check for signs of damage or corrosion. Don’t forget to let your partner know you are underneath in case they get in and drive off :D

Just measure front arb and buy same diameter.

Three different sizes listed for the T4. Seems the most common is 26mm. Don’t think the genuine parts are easy to come by these days but Brickwerks do a 28mm Eibach kit for around £350 inc all bushes and brackets

Well you say that but adding rear roll stiffness makes it oversteery so too much might be a bit hairy in lift off corner turn in?

I wouldn’t suggest fitting the same size bar as the front. The rear bar is usually stiffer, helps the give the correct balance.

I know mine has a rear ARB, I’ll measure it tomorrow.

Okay, got a chance to measure the rear ARB today, 26.4 mm Let me know if you need any more help.

Ah good times. Proper night rallies with Targa timing, none of that 12 car rubbish.

:Stig Selby and district motor club, great days
RL Brown, Devils Own, Tan Hill.
If only I still had that Mini.

Imagine trying that nowadays!!!
