Recommendations for California servicing in in Bedford / Northampton area?

I'm based between Bedford and Northampton and my recently acquired second hand Cali will need a service soon. Any recommendations on a Cali specialist? Are the local VW dealers any good? And just as importantly - anywhere I should avoid? Grateful for any advice!

I use Coventry van centre, not exactly local but I have had good service from them over the years. Had just one minor disappointing incident and they couldn't do enough to make it right. THere are some other folks opinions in the dealer section, worth a search through there.

I've not yet been blown away by VW Northampton, I'll try them once more, but if no better I'll be making a long trip elsewhere for servicing or warranty work.

Very poor customer services, left oily finger prints around the control panel, they twice tried to cancel appointments the day before, no decent courtesy vehicles seem available, poor quality fitting of accessories too, generally not what I would expect or am used to.
