Reconising a Cali vs a Transporter or Caravelle

Hello - After some excellent advice from this Forum we bought our California a few weeks ago. Its great and we cant wait for Spring time! Naturally, since buying our van we have been on the look out for others. First we thought we could identify a fellow California by its wing mirrors but quickly found out that was not an accurate guide. We then turned to looking at alloy wheels but that was equally inaccuate. The only reliable way we have found is reading the words CALIFORNIA at the back!

Is there a better way?

You have to look to the roof. Difficult to explain but give it a go!

I agree - the extra depth to the roof - and often an awning - show the difference.

Also we've got the side door on the off-side.

Still - I love the Transporters too when they've been blinged a bit.
