Remains of old tailgate protector stuck on bumper

I have the Remains of old tailgate protector on bodywork bumper, any idea on how I should remover this sticky rubber residue without damage to the bumper?

Could try some methylated spirit.

As above. Hairdryer to soften and coarse cloth, such as a dry dishcloth.
Autoglym Tar remover for any residue.
