Removing Bike Rack from rear ?

Tried searching here & on YT, but can't find....
As we dont always take our bikes, how easy is it to remove the rack from our 2007 T5 ?
Its a 4 bike rack (which we may swap as only 2 of us), but don't always need/use it.

Is it easy to do (and put back on), or am I just better off leaving it on there ?

Take off thoughts are - better rear vision - less weight ?
