Repairing picnic table

The edging around my picnic table ( the one that stores in the sliding door) is all cracked and peeled off in places. (Especially on the corners but not exclusively). What is the best way/product to repair it , in order to prevent further damage to the table?

How handy are you.
You could remove the present edging and replace with this. See link.
I’m not sure how the edging is fixed, it could be glued on or fitted into a groove. A Router would cut the groove and the edging of your choice just knocked in.
