RNS 315 - Map update v8?

Anyone updated from v7 to v8? Found the map update for £79 which is still imho expensive for what is it when I can have upto date maps on my phone for free. However I do get a little annoyed with the maps being so incorrect in places.

Will it actually improve things, will wales now have roads where they should be or are they still pretty much out of date?

Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?
