Roof Box Position

Hi All,
Just a quick one. Fitting a roof box this weekend and I was wondering where the best place on the roof would be to fit it. Front? Back? Middle?

You are usually restricted by where the mounts are within the roofbox itself. Some brands have quite a short adjustment track within the roof box.

Ideally you want at least one of the roof bars sat over the front / rear pillars, as these are the strongest areas on the van roof.

Forward probably better then the bike handlebars won’t hit it when you open the tailgate! Roofbox opening on Sliding door side is good as you can stand inside the door to load it.
