ROOF DRAIN NOISE

Hi all. T6.1 Ocean owner MY 2022. I know there are a lot of posts about the roof drains. I just want to check something: I hear gurgling particularly at the front passenger side in really rainy weather. Is gurgling good or a sign that I need to clear it? I have bought the recommended syringe and pipe to do a gentle job if needed. Also - is hot water ok or is luke warm better? Thanks for your help.

I only hear it when the roof is up I always see it as a sign the drain is draining.
