Roof track anchor point

I was playing with the idea of running a line to a tarpaulin from the roof of the Cali. There are the two tracks on the roof which look as though they would accept a fitting with a loop, that you could then tie a line to. I'm not sure what it would be called.

I'm also concerned about too much weight pulling sideways on the roof. I've got a vision of the awning acting like a giant kite, flying off into the atmosphere and pulling my roof with it!
