Hello dear people,

Who knows whether a rubber seal is available for the gap between the Thule 5102 awning and the roof of the California?

Are you sure that is correct?
The California has a rain(weather) strip that clips into the side(gutter) rail between the two brackets before the awning is attached.

Thanks @Loz (Stole from T6 Forum!!)
A quick look on oemepc shows a seal (item5). A screen shot is below. The part number is

Thnx! Did not know. Was not part of mine awning. Going to look for it!

Having just removed the awning on our Beach, to replace unglued original fabric, I have replaced the cassette. The seal hasn't gone back so well at all and I wonder if there are different ways to locate the rubber. Now seems like there's a gap fore and aft with the curve of the roof. I didn't photograph the original fitting d'oh! Any suggestions?

Maybe the seal fits better one way round? Did you mark the front?

Fiamma sell a similar seal on a Roll

I didn't mark It! It has a a complex profile with a T section at one end (which I assume pushes into the awning rail that cassette carriers hang) from then a hook on the same side as the T (which hooks over the rail) and a wing that I assume points up (and in theory goes into a channel onbthe back of the cassette). Unfortunately the wing doesn't want to stay tucked into the cassette.

take it off, clean it and give it a spray of silicon oil, let that soak in and try again, failing that warm soapy water

Thanks SLD. Not convinced because it just seems too short to stay in the channel. I.e. it's a geometric problem not about flexibility (I believe). That's why I'm puzzled - I wonder if it was always that way and I didn't notice. I'm thinking I would have been bothered by it leaking through the gap

Is there any height adjustment on the Awning to bracket assembly and is the awning straight and parallel to the rail you are pushing the profile into?

I have done all this when making brackets to fix a Fiamma awning to a Caddy when none made brackets I could buy.

I'll have to check the height adjustment. Couple of pics should show what I'm banging on about.

The seal in the drawing is shown upside down, what does yours look like from underneath (side door and up)?
