Sea side spot

Thinking of doing New Years Eve in the van this year. Would like a nice sea side wild camp spot where we could light the fire pit and dance round it with champers. Any good recommendations that would be chav free?

Whereabouts you thinking of going? I know a few places around N Wales.

'Wild" might be an apt description of the weather though!

N Wales would be good. As would Cornwall or maybe even NW coast of Scotland as we fancy something epic

Well, if you want to actually be on the beach rather than a car park nearby, Black Rock Sands would fit the bill. Nearby Porthmadog has good shops and supermarkets and there is plenty to do in the area; not least a visit to Portmeirion.

Track off Marine Drive on the Great Orme at Llandudno is great. No beach but fabulous views. Rather exposed though so perhaps not good for dancing around if the weather's grotty.

We ended up walking instead. Got a train to St Ives, walked up the coast to St Agnes. Bivied in an old tin mine then on to Newquay for New Years Day. We found a perfect spot for the Cali next year. Just a bit north of St Agnes.
