Second skin seat covers and child seats

I’ve been waiting a year expecting that 2nd skin covers will be updated to have proper slits to match the access points on the seats themselves. But alas, no such luck.

I’ve contacted the shop by message and had 2 responses. One saying no isofix comparability and another saying that you’ve always been able to put in isofix seats as the 2nd skin covers and backs are separate and you can just lift the back up a bit.

Does anyone do this and is it really a viable option? We only have the child seats in the van if we take the grandkids out for the day in the van, so most of the time we will want the covers to look smart and look like second skins.

Any comments/advice would be appreciated and photos an extra bonus.

Good morning Elly please let me clarify the situation The isofix points have now changed from being on the back of the seat to being on the front brandrup have now changed the covers to deal with this we are sold out of these until February the new covers will fit all models the old covers only fit the T5 and early T6 with the isofix points at the back here is a link with a picture of the new ones . https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/p...t5-second-skin-for-2-seater-bench-with-isofix . hope this helps

Hi guys. Thanks for the very prompt and helpful reply. It’s actually the GTX Premium covers (I thought they were all called 2nd skin, sorry) that we’re looking at. Is it the same for those?

Hi elly I have checked the leather look ones we have and they now include them we are hoping when the GTI ones arrive they do too I will check .

Hi guys. I think the Premium GTI Fabric Seat Covers for the Ocean are in stock now. Could you please check for isofix slits and post a photo?
