We're moving to the Far East for a few years and were going to sell the Cali. Looking at it, I figure that the loss in value of selling the Cali (against the purchase price and maintenance to date) and the cost of buying a vehicle would probably be more than the cost of return Shipping. Anybody shipped a Cali or other vehicle and can recommend a good company?

Yes, Flying Q took their Cali over to the States and drove the Pan American Highway north to south a while ago. They could help http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog/jill.and.manuel/1/tpod.html

And another member shipped their van to New Zealand when they relocated there.

Both are on the forum and may well be along in a while.

Have you checked that the country you intend to import to allow right hand drive vehicles ? Some don't.

Seabridge-tours.de seem to be a good German company. Site also in English! They ship campervans all over the world. Good luck!

Also ran into this seabridge site and it got me dreaming. Especially shipping cali to Argentina and then driving all the way to Punta Arenas... or shipping to USA and driving east to westcoast..

They say it can be profitable from 1 month (compared to flying and renting)
