Would love to see a load of pictures with the various wheels people have put on their vans :thanks

Not A California, but this is my new Kombi 4-motion DSG 180 in pure grey. It has 20" DBV Mauritious with Pirelli 275/35 20, on -40mm H&R springs. We have grey centre caps coming for it, as the van is going to be a black/grey theme with no chrome.

This van is having a full leather interior, upgraded hi-fi, rear entertainment with PS3 and full carpet lining and insulation. Its presently in the paintshop having full colour coding with a sportline front spoiler, and a black roof and wing mirrors to finish it off. Obviously it will be available to hire :thumb

Don't get me going on this one!

In the last month I have changed my mind 20 times and I'm now on the verge of going mad!

I have changed my mind from 18" to 19" to 20" to 21" and now back to 20"

Then there's the width, 8", 8.5", 9" , 9.5" and even 10" (all the alloys I want are 9 or 9.5" which means you might have problems with rubbing so you need to pay attention to the offset.

But it doesn't end there, I have also started looking into tyres and load ratings and now I'm ready to shoot myself.

Thats why I was hoping to shortcut the headache "ooh they look pretty".... job done

Because the kombi is a T32 and rolling on 20's there is only one tyre option, listed above, and its a Bentley fitment!! Cost is £220+VAT each......

But the California is T30 so loads of options.

I wanted to keep with OEM but also wanted to be a bit different so I've got hold of some sportlines but in anthracite - ie not silver and not black. I love them. For me they give a nice look to the van and without making the ride too harsh or having to be too careful.

Maybe not quite "non-standard" enough for this thread though!?

18 inch sportlines with a 30 mm drop been on for nearly two years
Now alloys still unmarked :thumb

Here are some 20" Dare NK1

Ive got those in 19" and thought they looked the business but in 20" they are the dogs nadgers ;-)

No update since 2014! Does that mean nobody else has "non standard wheels?"

I can feel a “correct load rating rant” coming on.

Anyone?

Can’t see the wheels when I’m driving.

You're telling me, you don't have a cheeky shandy in the Duke of Welly, jump in the Cali, stick some Prodigy on full blast and cruise down the High St occasionally glancing at yourself in the shop windows as you nonchalantly cruise on by? ;)

Nope. Prefer to do my cruising where there are no shops.

Aha, so it's you I see "cruising" around Trecco Bay :)
Ha Ha. I’m afraid I have never been and never will visit Trecco Bay. Certainly not in this life.

I can just picture WG g-rollin thru da hood, system up, baseball cap on reversed, checking the ho’s

Only once, late 90s, Southend Parade, in a Black Mitsubishi V6 Estate complete with Undertakers window tint and with the boys in the back. Checked by the Police going onto the Parade, who told us “ No handbrake turns “ and spent an hour cruising up and down with the boy racers. Boys loved it.:D
