Silverstone Festival

Has anyone camped at Silverstone Golf Club campsite for the Festival?

Just wondering what it’s like, and if pitches are reasonably level, and is the Festival worth travelling to ( am in NI )

Ah, just googled it. It’s what used to be Silverstone Classic
It’s a great event racing and evening live music
I used to stay on the official campsite
Traffic queues used to be a problem, as can be the weather!,

Yep stayed there for the Classic (now Festival) a couple of years ago.

Site is well managed and level.

Queuing for showers each morning is a norm.

You can also use the Golf club facilities inside the club house.

They have nightly live entertainment and bbq food and drinks bar.

Music stops on the dot at 11PM.

If any camper group gets rowdy then they soon sort that out.

We also pre booked a Sunday roast.

We are back to the Golf Club this year for the F1

The site is one of the closest to Silverstone. Out the entrance, over the walkway and you are in the Silverstone grounds!
