Hello. I have a small problem with the sliding door slightly scrtaching the rear wheel arch and have been told by an independent VW campervan mechanic whom I trust that it is almost definitely caused by wear on the nylon rollers. His parts supplier has said that the mechanism is only available as a complete kit with the rail, motor and wiring loom for over £600. Does anyone know if the rollers are available as separate parts from other suppliers and has anyone had this kind of work done for this problem with successful results?

Presumably you have Power slide Door ?

The door angle is adjustable.
From memory the top hinge / roller adjustment will pull the bottom of the door outwards.

Edit; Try LLL parts

This is an eBay listing from them , you. Can go direct

Hope that helps

Thanks, Perfectos. It is power side door. I now see the on the LLL Parts website now. Two different VW dealers have adjusted the door with successful results but only for a while. I don't know if they adjusted the top hinge / roller as part (or all) of that work. The fault keeps returning after a few months.

Short term add some helicopter tape the the wheel arch to stop the scratching, whilst you sort the issue

Thanks. I might have some of that already.

Not sure how different the rollers are for the power door but for the manual doors at least the rollers can be bought separately. The old ones need drilling out and a ball peen hammer to fit the new ones.
Not suggesting these are the right ones for your vehicle just an example……

Not sure if this helps....I have just replaced my bottom cargo door roller assembly.
Circa £15 from eBay. Took twenty minutes to fit. An hour watching YouTube video to see how. It is possible to make a fractional adjustment. Don't forget to jack/support door when doing this. A horror story from a member who let a main loose on his Cali and damaged the door and bodywork.

It is worth checking that the interior door trim panel hasn’t become detached. Some of the clips broke on a caravelle we had and the trim panel was then loose and would drag along the rear wheel arch.

Thanks Craig. The interior trim looks like it is still firmly fixed in the bodywork. What I've done as a workaround is put the soft half of some velcro strip (stuck to gorilla tape for a stranger bond) onto the trim in the offending area.
