We are trying to book Easter at snowdon. One of our team can only stay two nights and we are falling foul of the 3 night rule so can anyone suggest a suitable camp for both Cali and tent where we can request a two night stay?

We also used thatone , afther we walkt up Snowdon went from Llanberis site to Snowdon park . It has all you need : hook-up , hot shower , place to wash up after cooking,...
Had dinner in the pub .

Would recomend it but think it is more difficult to start the walk up Snowdon from there....

Stayed here a few times, very relaxed atmosphere. You can only book if you want hook up, everything else is on first come basis but it is a massive site.
I don't know if it is too far away from Snowdon.

I looked at Beddgelert but it did need a three night stop and 50% of the reviews were shocking. So started to look elsewhere.

We found the site ok (went at the end of August for a few days) but had a great little spot tucked in a corner. Whilst there we got the bus from just outside of the campsite (I actually think the bus was driven by an unqualified rally driver :Nailbiting) to the start of the Snowdon Ranger Path and walked that with the kids to the top. We were thinking of getting the train down, but after seeing the price we managed to buy the kids off with a packet of haribo - and they walked back down the same way as we came up. If you do that though then you just need to watch the bus times - not much to do at the Snowdon Ranger stop (as we found out!).

Site has a steam train that often passes which the kids liked, and you can walk along the river into Beddgelert. We didn't manage the walk in but stopped off on our way to our next site and there's a nice riverside walk in the town. :)

It's not far at all, just a short drive up to Pen y Pass.

It's not the ideal place to start a walk up Snowdon. You would need to drive a couple of miles to Rhydd Ddu for a walk up Snowdon on the west side. The trains will be running by then so you could take the first Welsh Highland Railway train which you could leave at Snowdon Ranger or Rhydd Ddu and walk up to the top of Snowdon with great views over the Irish Sea.
The site is attached to a pub which does good meals and is also a microbrewery.
The Beddgelert Forest campsite is also very good. An easy (ish) walk to Beddgelert and lots of lovely walks around there. Lovely area.

You make them all sound good. Looking forward to going, can't wait.

We did Rhyd Ddu a few years ago, staying at Snowdownia Park. The earliest train was at 10:30 or something so we drove as we wanted to make an early start.

It turns out there's a good sounding campsite at Rhyd Ddu itself: http://www.snowdoninn.co.uk/camping_site.html

Unless its changed or someone knows otherwise I think you'll find this is for tents only. We tried it years ago pre camper van days. It was heaving it down and you had to leave the vehicle and walk quite a way to the site carrying all your kit. Ended up in a B&B in Portmadoc

There is also the bus which goes round Snowden which is handy instead of driving.
If you want to park at Pen y Pass it's a very early start as the car park is usually full by about 8am. Years ago we used to turn up late evening and kip in the car but doubt you would get away with that nowadays in a camper.

Decision made. Snowdon parc.
Did negotiate a 2 night stay for 1 of our party of 3 as he doesn't need electric.
This is what kicked off our thread. Result.
