Socket to right of cooker on pillar

There is a outlet point behind passenger seat with a flap,on lifting the flap there is nothing there,can anyone tell me what's it for and is it a vw garage job

Please post a picture if you can it should have a 2 pin socket but sometimes they can get pushed into the panel

If it's the one near the floor it is for a 2pin 12v-240v plug. I can never remember the name of thing (invertor).

It means you can use 240v bits off the 12v batteries but only up to about 180W. Great for running things like bose sound link mini etc or charging up device batteries.

Great I think it's pushed into panel,any ideas how to get panel off I've tried fishing out with coat hanger but it's dropped right down

Not too sure mine only got pushed a little way in so I removed it and replaced with a standard 3 pin socket

That socket works off of leisure battery's.

Indeed but the mains wiring is behind that panel.
