Something hand down from underneath

While washing the Cali today noticed what looked like a under panel hanging down on the left side of the van below where the sink would be - after inspecting I couldn't see any clips missing, it looks like you use some sort of double prong tool is used to fit or remove has anyone had any experience fitting these

This is the new underplating of the T6.1.
I don't have this on my T5.1.
It's all to do with emissions. Flatter underbody is less resistance.

Can you put it back in place, or is something broken or bent?
Otherwise, try VW warranty?
