I agree. This is a great little addition to the Cali.

Does anyone have any constructive tips on how to lock the Spacemate when parked on a nose-down incline so it doesn't automatically slide back in?

Not everyone parks on the straight and level all the time!!!

Would a temporary solution of a length of 2 * 2 cut to the distance from the back of the drawer to the back of the seat when open work as a placeholder?

That would surely work. But as you are aware, space is at a premium in a Cali.

With the Spacemate in place can you still access the Jack and tools or do you need to remove the Spacemate to access them?

Difficult.

Apology - off topic but what is the colour scheme of your Cali? Looks really good but haven’t seen that combination before.

Thank you! It's vinyl wrapped over Reflex silver. I used a metallic matt vinyl over the silver. It's been a great addition and protects the paint. We thought of painting it but actually had a body shop advise against paint.

Does anyone have the rubber mat for the SpaceMate? I’m wondering if it’s really smelly rubber.

I got it without the mat and purchased the same from Amazon cheaper and cut it to size

Yes, I have the mat and, yes, it does have an odour. I goes away after a few months.
