A response to @soulstyledevon comparing my new nick to a Twix compared to a Mars Bar.

When Jo and I walked "Return Journey" 30 years ago, (our second Lands End to John O'Groats only this one JogLe and to raise funds for a college for disabled kids)... walking through Scotland I found the chocolate bar of my Dreams. Tunnocks Chocolate Caramel wafer.

It became a joke about me and my Tunnocks addiction, one shared on radio, TV and in an account I wrote.

30 years later Tunnocks are repaying the favour. They will be sending us a HUGE supply of chocolate wafers as our en-route nutrition. "Powered by Tunnocks" now appears on our website :)

Love a Tunnocks Wafer :)

Tunnock's Caramel Wafer. Almost as good as Tunnock's Chocolate Tea Cakes.

Random factoid: apparently about half of Tunnock's entire production is shipped to Middle East markets.

The tea cake was invented by Boyd Tunnock, grandson of the founder, who was tasked to do something "new for the company".

He today is the chairman and the man who authorised that Tunnocks become our official sponsors.

Their Caramel wafers are 134 calories and a superb bite intra route. I'm so proud to have their support. It closes a circle from 1991 :)

Milk or dark chocolate?
