Spotify as preferred music media

When I choose media it defaults to Apple Music however I would prefer if my Spotify app was open. Is there a way to make Spotify the default music app?

I think it depends on the phone? Don’t believe Apple supports changing to Spotify as the default (yet).

The “first” time you ask Siri to play music it will usually ask which music app you would prefer. Personally I like Apple Music but also have Spotify. It shows as an app on Carplay so the other half uses that as she prefers Spotify. It’s a bit of a faff, clearly deliberately so on Apples part.
