So our Cali is coming up for its 4th Birthday, we are just back from a brilliant weeks family skiing in La Plagne.

Such an amazing van and a great family drive with a really warm and friendly feel. (Even with 5 of us in the Cali se).

So the question is do we stick with the California or put it up for sale and buy a New beach? Does anyone have any experience of this, should we sell privately or go for a part exchange. Whilst not a daily drive we use it every weekend.

We have a manual 180 and am looking to move to a dsg beach... Is the drop in engine size noticable?

hmmm - id def go for the Beach - 4 year old manual SE is an optimum swapper

If you got plenty of cash in the way i say yes ,
Mine is four and wil be staying a while....

Have you done the sums?

You've asked a number of questions but should go through them as follows.
1. The SE is 4 years old . So, they last a lot longer but if you prefer a Warranty and have the capital or means to upgrade then YES.
2. Would you swap for another Full Camper, an Ocean, or has your requirements changed and you require a multi use vehicle. If so then YES. If not then NO unless Q1 is YES
3. Part Exchange is easier but Private Sale brings in more Cash. However when you sell may not match up with when the new vehicle arrives, so shortfall with no vehicle.
4. You are used to the 180, so a 150 Beach will be different and you will notice, but it may be adequate for you.
Have Fun deciding.
