T6 2017 Ocean Regrigerator temperature

Super excited to have picked up my new (second hand, but new to me!) 2017 T6 Ocean today. All going well but the fridge is a bit warm. Is “max” as cold as it goes or is “max” the warmest refrigerator temperature? I wish the control went from cool to coolest, not 1 to max. Thanks

The higher the number the cooler.
Load it to allow movement of air, some of us use a tray in the bottom and side to allow airflow and prevent frosting.
