T6 headlights - do they fit a T5.1

Hi all

Had a look but can’t seem to find an answer. Have a 2012 se and the headlights are awful! Looking to swap out for t6 standard headlights. Has anyone done this and any advice on modifications required if any.

They will fit. But more work will be needed done if you fit them. An other grill and front bumper is needed then to.

Best advice is you either speak to an afther markt compagny where the work will need to be executed. Ex Transporter HQ for uk. Or in BE I would recommend blacksheep (bs-automotive)

the wings are different too where they meet the headlamps. the t6 has a sloped back lamp so i would say,no,they won't fit

Might be easier to try some super bright bulbs first. Five minute job per bulb - and you’re right headlamps are shocking.
i used https://www.halfords.com/motoring/b...00-brighter-h7-477-headlight-bulb-514942.html and they were better.

I installed HID upgrade kit on my Porsche 993. Not expensive and super easy with zero modifications. except replacing the OEM bulbs with the HID's and stuffing the ballasts and controller inside the housing. It transformed the performance.
There are similar kits for the T5

You wouldn't gain anything as T6 Ocean lights are H7 lamps the same as T5 SE.

Basically T6 into T5 don't fit.

Transpoterhq seem to be place for replacement light units.

They won't fit. Get the T5.1 LED ones from Transporter HQ. Speak to Bognor Motors, they supplied and fitted ours. (think they were £650 incl fitting)
