Tarp for Fridge Side of van with Kador Strip

WelshGas, apologies it might be my terminology or lack of it! This sunshade says it has a "4mm & 6mm twin piping rail attachment system", so I'm thinking that is the bit that slides into the slot on the side of the van, my question is, is that fat enough to hold it? I see that the bungees are for pegging the other end into the ground? Perhaps I have misunderstood..

Thanks in advance
I would have thought it would fit out of the box.
Why a Kador strip? Useful for a driveaway awning but I would have thought it would be easier just to undo the guys and slide out.

It should do. Measure the internal diameter of the awning rail or ask the company. I don't have a California any longer .

That's what the awnings for.
But more effective for the occupants if on the side away from the sun and usually a few degrees cooler.

It’s 6mm channel on the LHS side of the van, 4mm on the wind out awning so this should fit fine for both

Shading worked for me. I arrived at the Abbey Wood site on Tuesday at 34C. I parked the van with the rear next to a bank and trees. The rest of the pitch seemed to be in full sun all day. The rear stayed in the shade the entire trip. The van however got hot. I put my cool box behind a seat at the rear of the van so it was shaded and did not seem to be too affected by the hot air in the van. Between the side of the van and the cool box there were 2 stacked euro boxes.

I ran the coolbox all night and when I was on the site and only turned it off when I was away from the site. Yesterday the van got up to 27C when I was away but the cool box stayed below 10C. This could be a result of the night before the cool box cooled to -0.4C! I had put defrosted ice packs in as well so I assume they cooled enough to help keep it cool.

I bought the one you suggested, and seems to do the job, it will get a full test when we are away next at the end of August. Thanks for your help.
