Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place.

But I just thought I'd let everybody know about the telescopic ladder we've bought today. It's a 2 metre ladder. I've noticed lots of people suggest these on the forum. We bought it from JTF (I believe they are all over the UK) - for £20.00 plus VAT. We're delighted with it - it's the aluminium lightweight one.

Here's the link to JTF (although you won't see the ladder on the site) http://www.jtfmegadiscountwarehouse.co.uk/

Thanks

Hi Kim,

I am interested in getting a telescopic ladder to access the roof bed. How do you position the 2M ladder & does it fit between the front seats? My existing 3.5M (quite heavy) telescopic ladder is much to wide to use.

Thanks

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

We haven't actually tried it yet ourselves, but campervantastic sell them & there is a picture of one on their website in use.

Here's the link:

I think you have to turn your seats around & use the ladder against the bit that meets the window. The picture also shows them storing between the units & the front seat.

Hope that helps?

could you re-post if you have it, because I have just bought the ladder and am not too sure where to lean it , so looking forward to seeing the pics

Try this.
Links from there dont work for some reason.

We have a 2m telescopic ladder and find it really useful in and around the van.
1. Storage - it fits neatly behind the passenger seat in transit and under the van in situ
2. Getting up to the bed - We don't fully extend it; usually 2 or 3 rungs(can't remember!) left in and it angles nicely over the passenger seat to the roof. Once you have mastered the best way up and own it is a breeze....... it is also much cheaper than a replacement arm rest!
3. Around the van - handy fully extended to get at awning rail or roof items etc We tend to put the Kamper Cosy bag over the top of it when working against the van.

Almost an essential purchase.
