What's the Star system and licence ?
If serviced by them is the European recovery included?
The Mercedes Benz owned online Service and Software Diagnostic Tool is the Star system, Licences are bought by dealers and Service agents and the Service History of the vehicle is stored on it, I believe, at Mercedes HQ Stuttgart. If you have a Mercedes with european cover and it is serviced and recorded on "Star" than your warranty and cover remains intact.

I had a warning light appear a few weeks ago, climbing the Grimmelpass in Switzerland.
It was a low coolant warning.
I pulled over and checked the tank, it was between middle and max.
I decided to carry on driving and the light went out after 10minutes. The next day I came across a Mercedes Benz garage. I went in to buy some coolant to top the tank up.
The garage sent a mechanic out and checked the tank, topped it up FOC and explained it was because of the altitude. Nothing to worry about.
Sent me on my way.
Have to say, it was cracking service by Mercedes.

I should have qualified my post, the issue I had was with my localish MB commercial dealer in the Uk.
I've used a MB in Germany to fit specialist suspension struts (Uk dealer refused) receiving amazing service.
This summer whilst driving through France I had a brake issue, arrived at Reims MB at 4.30 Thursday afternoon without hesitation the vehicle was inspected and booked in for repair the following morning to be fixed, technian even suggested a wild camping overnight stop - see picture.

Great to hear such positive stories for MB after service.

When I had a starting problem in Spain, my UK breakdown had my MB Moho piggy backed to the nearest Merc dealer and I was surprised to find that they had access to a full record of all dealer inspections/repairs to the vehicle since new. At the time, I just assumed that it was all part of the Mercedes service. They did a while you wait (3hour) repair. We relaxed(?) in a purpose designed lounge with an unlimited supply of coffee. The cost was not insignificant, but our treatment reinforced my feelings that the Mercedes brand is one of the best.
