Thin black vertical line in centre of windscreen

Can someone tell me why I have a thin black vertical line in the centre of my windscreen on VW california t5 2007. Is there a purpose for it?

It's the aerial for the radio.

Thank you... no way I would never have imagined it.. . Is that the reason why at the very bottom it's a bit wonky... not perfectly straight. ...
