I know, I know, thousands wouldn't and it is thousands more than even the petrol version. I'm hoping to arrange a test drive when my finances are sorted out but looking for advice and comments. That I may or may not take into account.
This would be the only vehicle. There will be Lots of very short journeys. Plan for longer trips/off grid certainly in UK and possibly Europe. Also I am old (very!) but ridiculously fit and healthy - lucky me.
I have experienced loads of problems with diesels in the past and currently drive petrol to avoid those issues that so often occur with short trips. Also often been stuck on muddy sites needing a tractor to pull me out. The car needed help as well! So any chance of some 4 wheel drive assistance would help. I love the idea of autumn/winter use though have found it very cold sleeping in a tent/car in the past so don't think I could cope now without you the better shelter in a campervan.
