I know, I know, thousands wouldn't and it is thousands more than even the petrol version. I'm hoping to arrange a test drive when my finances are sorted out but looking for advice and comments. That I may or may not take into account.

This would be the only vehicle. There will be Lots of very short journeys. Plan for longer trips/off grid certainly in UK and possibly Europe. Also I am old (very!) but ridiculously fit and healthy - lucky me.

I have experienced loads of problems with diesels in the past and currently drive petrol to avoid those issues that so often occur with short trips. Also often been stuck on muddy sites needing a tractor to pull me out. The car needed help as well! So any chance of some 4 wheel drive assistance would help. I love the idea of autumn/winter use though have found it very cold sleeping in a tent/car in the past so don't think I could cope now without you the better shelter in a campervan.

There are some Forum members who have the T7 and some with Hybrids .
Short trips on EV are where it excels and longer trips in Hybrid mode give very reasonable mpg figures.

It sounds perfect for your use case.

Having spent a fair amount of time driving off road it is worth noting that tyre choice can have a big impact especially on grass.

I have the petrol T7 and I suspect it would be tricky on muddy festival ground, it’s quite ‘torquey’ and you have little control at slow speeds as the engine management seems to bias anti stall by automatically upping the revs. I’ll have to experiment using the paddle shift.

Just driven to France from South Wales via Portsmouth and St Malo ferry. 346 miles in Hybrid mode with a 50% EV battery reserve.
42.1 mpg for Petrol and EV battery at 50% on arrival.
Happy as my 2014 180 Biturbo only managed 33.4 mpg diesel.

Real world 42.1 mpg. About the same, or better, than my 2024 150 6.1 California.

But petrol is cheaper and local trips are mostly EV. No DPF worries and no Adblue .
Agree. 42 mpg is really impressive.i have to really try to get that grim my diesel. Light foot and 60 to 65 mph on motorway.

I just let ACC with its speed limit control set the speed. Impressed it slowed from 110 km to 100 km when it rained.
