Tiny tear in roof canvas

Hello,

Camping tonight near Brecon and just noticed a tiny half cm tear in the roof canvas. It was caught in the sliding roof panel, oh dear.

It's not serious but any tips on how to stop it spreading? I was thinking some clear nail varnish when I get home but I am sure there is a better solution and I'm not sure if nail vanish is a good idea.

I had a little nick out of the canvas were the it got caught in the roof mechanism by the previous owner I might add
I just nipped it together with sewing it. you could try that.

Another good option is a very small patch of "Tear Aid".

Wonderful stuff available for camping shops... I always have some of it around.

Very robust, I've used it to repair seals on my diving dry suits.
