Try a diy scratch repair paste to get rid of the scratches and then see if the dent still bothers you enough to have it repaired.

Doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks unless you are selling in which case it will matter to the buyer.
If it’s affecting your love for your van (as it would for me) then fix properly, otherwise leave or, as suggested already, minimise the visual impact.
