Dometic CFX 35 - fix or replace?

Hi - I have the Dometic CFX 35 (4 years old) that I use in the van. Great fridge but have an issue - won't charge on 12v (works fine on 240v). I bought a new cable, checked the battery etc and all fine) and Dometic say I need a new Electronic Board as mine must have stopped tripping to 12v when needed - they quoted £200 for the part plus £75 plus VAT to fix. This feels also for a fridge that is 4 yrs old and wondering whether any cheaper options to fix or buy another new. Appreciate any views / suggestions. If someone wanted to buy second hand needing addressing also interested. Thanks all

It *might* be worth cracking it open and looking for any obviously fried/tired parts. I’ve seen a few folks bring stuff back to life by replacing a few capacitors ‍

If you don’t fancy that and you opt for a completely new one, let me know maybe I can Chuck you a few quid and have a try myself
