Hi ,
I’m a total newbie and picking used Cali ocean up Tuesday ! Any advice as too essentials too pack for first adventure and where too go ? Any advice would be appreciated

Depends where you live. Go somewhere nearby see how it is. Obvious stuff is alcohol , bedding, clothes etc. If it's used should have hook up cable and gas. If not you need those 2 items first. Enjoy

You could do a lot worse than your first night on your own drive - no pressure of forgetting anything etc and if you can’t get comfortable (and dont have a mattress topper for example )your own bed is just a few steps away :)

My advice is just go and enjoy. You need very little. Comfort is my priority good nights sleep is everything.

Thank you .Van now arriving Friday .I shall look forward too heading out

All good Advice .I shall go locally and just enjoy the experience .
I bought a used beach in the end with a small kitchen and it has a heater and I’m beyond excited for its delivery Friday !

i have gas what size electrical lead do I need pls ?

We use a 15m hook up cable and only twice in our 6 years of ownership have we needed longer ( provided both times by the site ).
Some prefer the 25m and if your going abroad often needed as distance from power bloc can be considerable
Others carry a 10m plus 15m, for us it was about space saving.
Like many choices with your Cali …. ‘subjective & compromise’.

I concur a 15m is probably best and you don't plan on using any heavy duty power hungry kit (eg hairdryer, 3kW heater…) whilst travelling 1.5mm cables are a lot lighter and a bit more flexible than a 2.5mm one (which would handle 16amps) although everyone is likely to have their own opinion.
