Considering travelling to France for the first time in our Cali so was after some advice for places to visit. We would like mountains and lakes and are members of CC and C & CC so don't mind using their sites or other independent sites. We are travelling early sept for 10-12 days.

Lake Annecy has a beautifully clean,warm lake, mountains and stacks to see and do. Highly recommended. We combined a stay here in July with a trip to the Swiss Alps, fabulous.

Just back from Dordogne.
Bezac,Domme...fabulous
Took boat to Santander,then travelled up.Bordeaux and St Emilion were standouts.
Mont st Michelle worth a look also
