Under the Bonnet

Hi there

I’ve just popped my bonnet for the first time and there is some weird fibre by the battery. I have no idea what it is and I assume it shouldn’t be there.
One of the battery cables also appears chafed.

It looks like you have discovered some rodent playground.
The fibre is it's nest, the chafed cable is chewed.
Time to get an ultrasonic rodent repeller.

Agree, before we had a Cali we had a Fiat Ducato based van which became infested with mice over one winter. They got everywhere, the smell and mess were awful! We cleaned up and sold the van back to the dealer-wife refused to sleep in it again. The Cali is a daily driver so is never still long enough for mice to get in.

Thanks guys I had a feeling it was rodents! We drive the van al most every day so I’m pretty surprised how it’s happened. More investigation today once’s it’s light.
