Cali now sold
We started up or 2010 T5.1 Cali a couple of weeks ago after it’s Winter “Hibernation” and got a Service Due 14 days warning. It is now showing “Service now” when we start it up. It was serviced in October so shouldn’t be due until for another 6 months.

It’s been plugged in to the mains during winter to make sure the leisure batteries were maintained, and a trickle charge went into the starter battery.

Does the T5.1 adjust service intervals if it detects something is awry and it needs to into the garage or should I just clear the notification and get it serviced in October as usual?

It should tell you on the central MFD display under Service which one is due, Oil change or Major Service/ Inspection.
The Major Service is Timed 365 or 730 days countdown, the Oil Service is a similar timed interval BUT also dependent on the Oil condition as determined by a specialised sensor.

It may be that you’ve had the oil change & it now thinks you need an inspection rather than synchronising the two.

I don't have a seperate Inspection and Oil Service timers in the MFD. There is only Service.

It just says this. It is an early 140 if that makes any difference.

Must be because of the year. Mine shows miles/days to Oil Change and likewise to Inspection/Major Service.
Did you have just an Oil and filter change last time or the whole lot including air filter fuel filter etc.?

Oil Change along with the Cam belt and water pump replacement. All servicing normally happens Late August / September so doesn’t line up with a time related service. I think my best option is to take it to our independent garage and get him to check for any fault codes.

They may not have reset it at the last service.

Got to the bottom of this by talking to the mechanic who services it. He resets the service interval it via the computer rather than the MFD. It seems he may have mistakenly set it to a 6 month service interval when he cleared it last time.

If have reset the service via the MFD and sure enough it is saying the next service is due in 180 days. I’ll get him to set it back to annual servicing when it is back for its next service.
